I wondered: how is chart of the day of the implementation of the Schengen Agreement (that provided free traffic in the countries of the European Union) today, now that the borders are getting closed following the enormous numbers of immigrants trying to reach Germany. Here you see the chart of March 26, 1995 with transits and progressions of yesterday:
Transit Saturn is on the Ascendant, Chiron is on IC and transit Pluto is square progressed MC, inconjunct progressed Descendant. In other words: trouble. Also, the progressed Sun and Moon are getting closer and closer to a square with Neptune. Such a square means confusion and sometimes decay. Saturn will be trine the natal Sun in November, maybe creating a more stabile situation, though the stress and pressure continues (Pluto still square Progressed MC).
Isn't it amazing that Saturn is opposition MC, Pluto on the Ascendant and Chiron on MC when Schengen became effective? The 'corner stones' of the chart (Saturn, Pluto and Chiron) are in aspect with the angles again. Transits and progression with Saturn, Pluto or Chiron happen to be very important because they are important in the natal chart, especially Saturn, because Saturn also rises before the Sun. This all marks an important period in 'Schengen's life'. Usually they don't mean easy times.

Hulk Hogan: Saturn, Pluto and Pholus
Suppose that you are Hulk Hogan, a tough, strong and rich
guy. Suppose that you have Mercury ‘calling’ and Mars, too. Mars is also rising
before your Sun. That is the picture of the kind of guy who ‘calls’ and says things while
working and fighting and fast…and all this at any kind of level, somehow,
anyhow. Mercury and Mars prominent lead to discussions. There is a lot of discussion around Hulk Hogan today. People want him out after his racist 10 year old rant appeared on the
internet. His name is no longer on the WWE Wall of Fame. Exit Hulk Hogan even not after saying sorry.
He said it. Now what
does his chart say?
1. Astrothème gives him Pluto conjunct Ascendant.
That means that the present square of transit Pluto with his progressed Ascendant
is twice as heavy as the usual Pluto (who is rather nice, with that big heart
but also icy cold). Pluto means crisis, challenges and problems, often, just
like Pluto means strength, power, influence and value. Pluto has two sides.
2.
Another painful point is transit Pholus
sesquisquare his Mars (how about hurtfully shooting your own feet?).
3.
On top of this, transit Saturn square his
midpoint Sun/Moon is depressing and demotivating.
4.
And there you have Pluto again: sesquisquare
Sun/Moon to complicate things. You can’t have them all, but Hulk Hogan sure has
a lot.
He was hit by Pluto, Saturn and Pholus at the same time: that is like a hard boomerang point of no return.
He was hit by Pluto, Saturn and Pholus at the same time: that is like a hard boomerang point of no return.
Here is the chart with transits and progressions. These bad transits wouldn't hurt anyone born at another time and place on that day, even though they also have Mercury and Mars 'calling'.
See the labels for more examples of Mercury ‘calling’ and
opinions or remarks that cause trouble. And see http://www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Hulk_Hogan for the data.

Europe and Euro today
Heavy transits are tormenting the charts of the Euro and Europe (Treaty of Rome)! The problems with Greece are being reflected by the astrological situation:
1 Saturn is semi square Pluto points at boomerang effects and frustrating setbacks of values (Euro goes down)
2 Saturn in Scorpio is inconjunct the Midheavens of Euro and Europe, in ths final degree of Gemini. As Saturn is Retrograde, this aspect will come back!
3 Pluto is quindecile the MCs of Euro and Europe, stressing the markets to a point of obsession
In the progressed chart we see Sun conjunct Venus as a sign of peace and harmony while the inconjunct of Saturn shows the end of a period and lost status. For some reason it is hard to post 2015 pictures, so:

Happy New Year! It's Zero Aries today.
When the Sun leaves Pisces and enters Aries, a new cycle stars. The first degree of the astrological zodiac is Zero Aries (0-1 Aries) and the last one is 30 Pisces (29-30 Pisces). The exact moment of Sun in 0 Aries is the moment of astrological New Year.
It is an interesting and complicated Astro New Year's chart of 2013!
The chart of this New Year has a Yod (Jupiter with Saturn-Pluto) and the Moon-Uranus square is in aspect with Pluto. Meanwhile there is quintile Venus-Jupiter.
All charts have different positions of Ascendant and MC. That is why all positions are in different houses. But all charts have:
- Venus quintile Jupiter
Great for a party or a wedding! This aspect creatively increases fun and pleasure. It is a 'sweet sugar, sweet candy' aspect. The nasty side of a Venus-Jupiter aspect is getting fat and ... diabetes. But not yet, not today. It might be a sign for a creative (quintile) solution (Jupiter) regarding money (Venus) and banks (Venus).
- Moon square Uranus
This will be mirroring the need for change, surprise, shock and news (again and again, sometimes disturbing). It is the aspect of emotional detachment and a moment of panic. Both Moon and Uranus are in aspect with the Yod.
- There is a Yod with Jupiter on the Apex. Saturn and Pluto are inconjunct Jupiter in Gemini. Governments and institutions are trying to find a balance in the budget, in taxes and in the world of money business (banks). Will the finger pointing at Jupiter point at hope and growth? Does this Yod reflect the success of austerity?
I think of what happens in Cyprus. The plan was that money of the people should be taken away in order to save the banks. The people didn't buy it. The parliament voted against it. The Euro dropped. It was communications with a loss involved. And now what? Those who studied economy don't know what to do next, it seems. There is a continuous stream of bad banks, countries in trouble and increasing pain for the citizens. Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Scorpio seem to cooperate to create ' die hards' , survivers only. Jupiter often is a help in times of trouble. Jupiter is the symbol of protection. Pope Francis used the theme of protection (Saint Joseph) in his inauguration speech. He pointed at the importance of helping each other and helping the poor, the common people. There is something in this Yod that reminds me of those words.
Jupiter is part of the Yod. Jupiter is quintile Venus. Let's see if the quintile as creative as it is supposed to be... Maybe then it is a real happy new year in Europe!

Saturn Scorpio - Pluto Capricorn and the elderly
In a lot of Western countries the situation of the elderly used to be better than ever before in history. up to now. Unlike the old and ill in history those who were too old to take care of themselves didn't have to depend on children, church or donations. They didn't have to take a blanket and die alone on an icy mountain. They were take care off by the state. Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Scorpio are symbols of state finance. Now that Pluto is in Capricorn states can't afford to have debts any more. Can they still afford to provide for the elderly?
In my country the State pension for all elderly (regardless of their income or possessions) started in 1956, with Saturn in Scorpio in a narrow square with Pluto in Leo. That was an important moment in history for the elderly and their children. They were liberated. There was less to worry about. Of course, you had to pay (Pluto) taxes (Saturn)...
Most companies also joined a pension fund for their employees. Some of the companies even offered free retirement funds and an early retirement at age 57!
Meanwhile, people got older and older. The generations born after World War II got less children than ever before. They were not needed for future care anymore and the world -including Europe - was overcrowded, they said, in the 60/70's.
We all had a good life and good prospects until the crisis. Technology would conquer and win! We might even live forever in prosperity.
The picture shows how comfortable old age looked like...
Now, with Saturn in Scorpio in mutual reception with Pluto in Capricorn they start arguiging about when to retire and about what the elderly should be given.
When in 1956 the first 65+ men and women were enabled to live on their own, people were not against the fact that they had to pay for them. There was more and more money to be earned and the future was bright. Now we see depression all around. Those under the age of 40 fear about their old age and their future and a controversy between the grandparents and grandchildren or parents and children seems to be on the way. When the man or woman aged 40 will be 65+ there will be even less children to provide for them and they will still be paying for the 85+...
There was no problem when there was enough money, but ... this money was invested the wrong way and the governments and employers took away money from the funds in the good years. So now we have a problem (Pluto) with the elderly (Capricorn) that is in fact an economical crisis and political failure of governments without a policy that looked ahead for more than their four years caused all this.
There is no time for taking the old men and women outside, no time for a talk or a walk. And politicians point at family (even if there isn't any and even if the family has to work harder and longer than ever). They must do it. We are back at the starting point. When Saturn is conjunct Pluto, in January 2020, will financing old age start all over again, another way? I'll have to find out more about Saturn conjunct Pluto in history to see what happened. However...
Just like with shares results of the past are no guarantee for the future... That is because the world of the past is not THIS world and the symbol of Pluto in Capricorn differs from history. I wonder how the situation for the elderly was in the days of Pluto in Capricorn in history.

At least, I didn't have to dive into history about Pluto in Capricorn, because I found an interesting study on Celestial Insight. I'll be back on the conjunction with Saturn in those days...

Walter Breuning and the astrology of aging
![]() |
Walter Breuning in the 7th grade |
Centenarian Walter Breuning died. He was the world's oldest man. He was born in Minnesota on September 21, 1896. See the chart for noon on that day (maybe the angular positions and Ascendant would tell more, but time of birth is unknown). It is the combination that counts and it's the combination that tells us that he was a very positive and social kind of person with a helicopter view. He was not the kind of person to seek problems. The first 45 years of his life he had only harmonious progressions of the Sun (while life was hard in those days). Walter Breuning said that his recipe for getting old was taking only 2 meals a day and working as long as you can. Here is the chart.
Some of the natal positions:
- Jupiter rises before the Sun, without making major aspects for the optimist at any possible level
- Sun opposition Ceres refers to genes. He may have had perfect genes, but he didn't have children.
- Uranus doesn't make any major aspect within 5 degrees if he was born after noon. In that case, Jupiter AND Uranus are 'calling'! Jupiter-Uranus is part of the picture that I see in the chart of those who become very old. The midpoint Jupiter/Uranus related to Pholus and Nodes
- A lot trines (6) is for easy going.
- 50% of the planets and lights in air signs is for sociability and humor
The first 30 years of his life he had very easy progressions (trines with Venus and Mars, conjunction with Mercury and sextile with Jupiter, first trine was with Pluto). Only at age 45 we see Progressed Sun conjunct Saturn. That means that he could grow and progress easily (even though there could be external events with fewer harmony).
Together the positions indicate that he was a very moderate and calm person with a positive (helicopter) view. Jupiter-Uranus allows people to overlook things and be contemplative. That is in line with being secretary in an office of Freemansonry until he was 99 and Progressed Sun was semi square Pholus (meaning a frustrating turning point).
When he died there were the next transits and progressions:
T Saturn trine Pluto (the die hard combination)
T Pholus opposition Progressed Neptune
Progressed Sun trine Pholus (easy turning point)
Transit Ceres conjunct Progressed Venus (?)
Transit Mars inconjunct Progressed Jupiter
Progressed Node square Saturn (goodbye)

Eris and the chart of Charlie Sheen
![]() |
Eris throws an apple...(Wedding of Peleus by Bloemaert) |
There is a lot to do about Charlie Sheen. Lately the Huffington Post wrote about him, for example...And his name has been mentioned on many blogs. Here is a small contribution to the discussion about his chart. It is mainly about Eris. Eris (Discordia) is the symbol of discord and her apple is proverbial! Charlie Sheen has a 'calling' Sun*). His Sun is exactly inconjunct Eris! Right now, his progressed Sun is almost exactly quindecile Eris, resonating the existing natal aspect. It means that the existing unbalancing and extraordinary discord in his life (the natal chart) has reached a point when there is a very strong (almost obsessive) spotlight (Sun) on Mrs. Discordia/Malafida/Eris, what is in a name...
I always point at the 'rule of 3', and I should follow my own rules (don't I?), so here are more indications for the discord in the (progressed) chart of Charlie Sheen.
1. Progressed Venus trine Eris
2. Progressed Mars trine Eris
(a way out for the passion to have some discord)
3. P Sun quindecile Eris
(the natural lack of balance between drawing attention and 'discord' as an issue has now become an obsession; there is on the other hand a strong focus (quindecile Sun) on what discord (Eris) around Charlie Sheen).
4. In the progressed chart Mercury is exactly inconjunct Eris (speaking of discord...)
5. Eris is elevated in the progressed chart
That is a lot of Eris. And in the progressed chart the Sun is also exactly sesquisquare Saturn and transit Saturn is exactly square the progressed Ascendant...
If you want to know more about Eris, here are a few posts:
The Phelphs: who doesn't expect Eris to be important in their charts?

Mars is inconjunct Eris in the charts of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and George Michael (well in all charts of those born between June 24 and June 26 of 1963).
A more positive reflection of Eris: French minister works on a law against psychogical violence. Eris is important in his chart!
Here is the chart of Charlie Sheen, with progressions and transits:
natal, transits and progression

More about his chart:
*) A 'calling' Sun or planet doesn't make any major aspects in sign or orb 5 degrees and has a special effect. This object works at any possible level. See Astromarkt for more about unaspected planets and empty elements. They are 'Conspicuous by absence'...
*) The apple appears in many tales. Think of Eve, think of Aurora (the witch Malafide and the poisoned apple). The 'apple of discord' means 'something that provokes an argument'.

TRANSITS OF PLUTO WITH MOON, MERCURY, VENUS OR MARS
This month is transit month on Astropost. This post is about transits of Pluto with Moon, Mercury, Venus or Mars. They tend to stress feelings, ideas, sympathies and drives. Transits of Pluto must always be regarded with the natal chart, the other transits and progressions and the general situation or condition in mind. Having said that, here are some ideas.
Transit Pluto with the Moon intensifies emotions and habits/needs. Getting back to usual (at home) is difficult and challenging with such an aspect, even if it is a trine (though you might feel stronger than ever). It often gives stress at home or in the family. Sometimes this is because of a family problem or a memorable event regarding life and death. Michael Moore had this transit after his chemo therapy (and with his son in jail).
Transit Pluto with Mercury transforms opinions and ideas. You might test your ideas about (for example) your political party during this period. The result might be that you decide to leave the party. The result might also be that the evalution of ideas intensifies your opinions (and the way that you communicate about them). You might also be studying hard in this period. I had this transit when I seriously studied astrology for the first time.
Transits of Pluto with Venus are reflecting the difficult choice to make and sometimes money issues. What is really worth the price to pay? Did I really choose the right partner? Even if you think that you made all the right choices, transit Pluto with Venus gives stress because of the intensity of your desires and feelings. Sometimes it is your body (skin, hormones) and sometimes it is your relationship challenging you to evaluate your choices and ideas of what is nice, beautiful or luxury. This transit doesn’t stand in the way to marriage. Often the relationship is getting deeper and deeper during the (longlasting) transit). But sometimes there is competition or jealousy. To have and to hold might be a problem in many ways! However, sometimes this transit doesn’t seem to have much impact at all. The price you pay for luxury might just be the jealousy of others!
Transit Pluto with Venus AND Mars in the chart of the Swedish king a few months ago…showed challenges regarding passions…among other hard transits, like the transit of Saturn...
Transit Pluto with Mars is testing your drives and muscles, sometimes just in competion (sport or politics), but there is also a danger of violence and having to defend yourself (or feeling that you have to defend yourself). Women might test their husbands during this aspect (is this man worth it?). This transit transforms activities or products and is very demanding. You pay the price with energy. In specific (dangerous) situation this transit warns you to be alert and avoid ‘dangerous men’ and anger. Like in the case of Joran van der Sloot:
- The murder of Stephanie Flores was with transit Pluto trine progressed and quindecile natal Mars.
- The disappearance of Nathalie Holloway was with transit Mars sesquisquare Pluto.
PS The Moon is larger than dwarf planet Pluto. Size doesn't really matter in astrology. Jupiter is large and that is why the meaning of Jupiter is ' big' and 'great' and 'growth'. Jupiter is not considered to have more 'resonation' than Saturn has. The Moon is the closest object. That is why the Moon is regarded to show us more about 'close' things, like home, family, eating habits and emotions.

Chart of day of birth of Liu Xiaobo
Liu Xiaobo has won a prize, the Nobel Prize, but he is in prison, in China for the same reason: his work for human rights. I wonder if it is a joy to get the Nobel Prize when you are in jail and maybe that is why the progressed Sun is opposition Jupiter (success and support with a question mark - does he benefit from it or not? -) and inconjunct Uranus (a change/surprise, but...with a lost). The relief or positive change (Jupiter + Uranus) has it's hard sides (the hard aspects). The nature of the aspects (afflictions, hard aspects) have - of course - a harder effect in a hard nation.*).
When Xiaobo's progressed sun sign was changing, his life changed, too. He was arrested and convicted and the Chinese authorities want him to stay in jail for another 10 years, Nobel Prize or not. What character does one need to go against a government that doesn't tolerate political incorrect thinking? The chart of the day of birth of Liu Xiaobo is here:
Xiaobo is a Capricorn with Saturn rising before the Sun and Saturn is in Scorpio exactly square Pluto.
Saturn's position is pointing at a very serious person and the square with Pluto is showing the disadvantages of politics and the 'die hard' who doesn't give in or give up. Saturn-Pluto's are often confronted with tough and severe enimies or they do hard work alone.

About Saturn and Pluto on Astromarkt....
http://www.astromarkt.net/artsaturnpluto.htm
When Saturn and Pluto join forces you get a strong concentration, a focus. Scientific specialism, for example, or the heavy training of a sportsman. Saturn is the governmental law, Pluto is the law of the street (where the strongest is the winner), so if they join eventually the law will win. Strictly maintaining ancient rules: Saturn and Pluto together! Those with both of the planets in the fourth house will have a hard and unpleasant background (but with good aspects there can be done something about or with that experience). You seldom see water in the wine with Saturn and Pluto on the label....
There is a certain 'boomerang' effect with Saturn-Pluto combinations. The slightest error in the past made during a Saturn-Pluto aspect might turn against you later, when Saturn joins Pluto again. Investigations about peoples' past bring errors to the light during a progression or transit that combines the planets and force the native to resign. Saturn brings up the disadvantages of research and investigations.
A long time ago I wrote about Sun signs and this is what I wrote about Saturn in Scorpio:
Saturn in Scorpio Making a problem of your career and status, so that limitations are your challenge and you look severe and fanatic sometimes.
*) A chart has to be seen in the light of the gender, social/economic situation, culture, political status quo and history. What is hard in a free country is even harder in a restrictive society. Also, the same chart doesn't lead to the same kind of work or life! On the day of birth of Xiaobo a cartoon designer was born in Belgium. He was never arrested and he is not in politics. I have no idea in what way his life changed when the sun sign changed. All that he shares with Xiaobo is just working with ideas and words (Mercury sextile Mars). The differences are in the situation in the home land and of course in the individual chart (with angular positions, Sun/Moon and AC/MC, etc.). It just happens to be a fact that a prominent Saturn in Scorpio is square Pluto on that day in 1955 and that Xiaobo's situation is the mirror of the picture in the sky, corresponding with the nation that he lives in. Many were born that day, few share his kind of life.

Chart of Pamela Anderson
A few days ago I wrote about the indications for beauty in the charts of some famous beauties. Now I post about Pamela Anderson, the most sexy woman in the world since Marilyn Monroe. Here is the chart and here are some observations. One thing is for sure: she has a Venus-Saturn-Pluto midpoint combination. All the other beautiful women on this blog have a connection between Venus and Saturn and Pluto: it means that love and beauty don't come easy when business is involved. Her Venus/Saturn is square Pluto. Beauty hurts...Quoting Pamela:
"Natural beauty takes at least two hours in front of a mirror."
There is an important role for Uranus in the chart of Pamela Anderson. The A-rated chart has Uranus, ruler MC, on a crucial spot, square Ascendant. This crucial Uranus is part of a golden Yod between Sun, Moon and Uranus. It seems that she is being motivated to create upheavel and excitement in her life and that of others.
Besides, the Ascendant in Gemini points at ' forever young'. Venus and Uranus are connected to the Ascendant. This connection is frequent in the charts of beauties (and related to beauty surgery, too).
Taking all tight aspects into consideration, there is a picture already. And looking at the chart again, there is also a clear Astro I.D. The most prominent issues are reflected by the most prominent planets and asteroids. Notice the prominence of Uranus, Venus and Pholus. Venus and Pholus are on the meridian, in opposition and in aspect with the Ascendant. Uranus, ruler Midheaven, is square Ascendant. Venus, Uranus and Pholus relate to the career and position by means of the shocking/exiting (Uranus) presentation (AC) of beauty and glamour (Venus is in Leo) that initiated a turning point with a risk of shooting your own feet (Pholus). This might get back to when she was 21 (see later). This combination shows that it is important to be popular, too. You might read Venus-Pholus as ' beauty and popularity polls' , with a position (MC) depending on it.
SUN-SATURN
Pamela is 43 now, no longer young. Saturn will almost be square her natal Sun, ending a decade and resonating the Sun square Saturn in her natal chart, reflecting the fight for self respect, managing and controlling life, facing the bad sides (like the Hepatitis C; Saturn is the ruler of the 6th house of illness)). Pamela has two children. Recently she said that she was sorry about her career because her children were being teased. Right now transit Saturn is in the 5th house of children.
PS Pamela Anderson started her career as a model when she was 21. That is when her progressed Sun sign changed (the indication that life and lifestyle will be changing; and that is what happened after the BC public cheered when she showed up...).

Gordon Brown and the Elections
of May 6, 2010

The chart below is the natal chart of Gordon Brown with transits and progressions of Election day (May 6, 2010). On September 30, 2009 when it was expected that the elections would be in June, I wrote about the astrological situation and that prognosis hasn't changed. The past few months I have been especially interested in Pholus and now I like to add that transit Pholus is sesquisquare his progressed Sun. That is reflecting a turning point in life. As his progressed Sun sign is changing, another way of living is to be expected (his life style is changing). The third sign of change comes from the transit of Pluto on his natal Midheaven. Third time lucky is not the case...
A chart is hardly needed when there are polls, but still: the correspondence between the polls and the astrological positions is interesting. Now let us wait and see what happens...
Here is what I blogged before. I quote:
There are more and more signs that Gordon Brown will loose the elections and that he will have to get used to another life style, just like his progressed Sun (changing sign!) tells us that he will. The combination of transit Pluto on Midheaven and Progressed Midheaven inconjunct Saturn is at least a difficult one. There is stress (Pluto) and there is a big chance of losing status (inconjunction with Saturn). Saturn-Pluto-combinations in politics often reflect the hard sides of politics. Falling down is a hard thing. And there are no helping transits whatsoever.
Unless a miracle happens, Labour will see of lot of the voters switch to another party.

Here are a few of the posts about Gordon Brown, who managed to make a big mistake yesterday when he insulted a lady who voted for Labour before. Here is the link to the posts with ‘Gordon Brown’ in the text: http://astropost.blogspot.com/search?q=gordon+brown
And here are some of the posts strictly about Gordon Brown and the elections.
Gordon Brown and the elections
Dated Sep 30, 2009
Nevertheless, even with such difficult aspects Gordon Brown made it to the top of the UK, just like George W. Bush managed to be in charge of the nation. See the topic about Sun and Saturn, managing to be in charge. ...
Astropost: Sun inconjunct Saturn (like Gordon Brown)
Dated Feb 21, 2010
When I read about Gordon Brown and his complaining staff, I remembered his natal Sun inconjunct Saturn. This inconjunction is about finding balance (inconjunction) between you and your position and life/lifestyle, however high or low, ...Synastry Brown-Blair (Mars inconjunct Saturn
Dated Feb 25, 2010
Did, by any chance, Tony Blair ruin the life of Gordon Brown? Perhaps. With Mars inconjunct Saturn and Moon opposition Moon there are enough problems to solve between then, in spite of the Venus and Jupiter of Blair. ...
ALSO: about his opponents:
Astropost: David Cameron on June 3
Dated March 13, 2010
You see, his opponent, Gordon Brown, also has the progressed Sun in the final minutes of the sign. The inconjunction with Saturn in his chart is just as unpleasant as the transit of Saturn is in the chart of Cameron. ...\
(!Attention: the transits and progressions are for June 3, while the Elections are on May 6…)
Astropost: Liberal Nick Clegg
Dated Apr 16, 2010
The people of England have more than just two choices on May 6, election day. There is Gordon Brown, there is David Cameron and there is the winner of the debate today: Liberal Nick Clegg, born January 7, 1967, time unknown. ...

Steven Seagall under fire

Several transits and progressions accompany this accusation.
- VENUS AND MARS
Venus is sesquisquare Mars in the natal chart. Progressed Mars is now inconjunct natal Venus, resonating the natal combination. This combination refers to frustrated passions.
- SUN AND MARS
Progressed Sun is inconjunct natal Mars and sesquisquare progressed Mars.
This aspect is highlighting Mars two times. Mars is the planet of fighting, work, men, sex and fire... This combination shows that he is the target.
- SATURN AND PLUTO
Transit Pluto and Saturn were and will be moving over his progressed Ascendant and Midheaven, with transit Pluto sesquisquare natal Ascendant.
Saturn-Pluto-combinations are one of the most difficult combinations to deal with.
- PHOLUS AND MERCURY
Transit Pholus opposition progressed Mercury: a mental turning point with the danger to hurt yourself in communications with others.
- TWO INCONJUNCTIONS
Inconjunctions have an unbalancing effect and are often reflecting disproportion. At the moment there are two inconjunctions by transit.
If the h.o.b. is correct, Saturn is inconjunct his natal Midheaven. That is a signal of the danger of public embarrassment. The tightest aspects in the natal chart are Moon opposition Jupiter (popularity) and Sun opposition Neptune. There is a complete article about Sun-Neptune combinations on my site Astromarkt. Chart of d.o.b Nancy Pelosi

Even without hour of birth it is obvious that Nancy Pelosi is made for the job; a true communicator (no air signs) , convincing (Jupiter ‘calling’) and a die hard (Saturn square Pluto). Her strong Moon in Scorpio rises before Sun and Venus and that is the sign of the partisian, someone whose orientation is ‘on her own folks’.
CNN writes that she is the best person to keep the Democrats together since J.F. Kennedy, now that she helped Obama get his Health Bill through the Senate. It is also the first time in history that NO republican voted ‘yes’, so the republicans must have their own Pelosi
Transit Jupiter had already been conjunct her progressed Sun in the week before. Transit Node square Jupiter did the rest. Transit Pluto is now square her natal Sun. And we see Pholus and the progressed Sun get closer and closer until they will reach the turning point. I wonder what that will be, but considering her age and what she achieved now…she might consider a goodbye. Progressed Mercury is about to changing sign and the first aspect in the new sign is with the planet of endings: Saturn.

Cardinal Brady and Saturn-Pluto

Séan Baptist Brady is an Irish Cardinal. He wanted to keep the scandall of sexual abuse a secret. He is waiting for the Pope to ask him to resign (he won't do it himself). See how his life changed in a short period of time, from becoming a Cardinal to becoming the head of an institution publicly known for (at least) not helping abused children:
1. first the progressed Sun changed sign to Scorpio
2. then the first aspect in the new sign was Sun opposition Saturn
3. and the next aspect was Sun square Pluto
4. Saturn and Pluto are related to the Node (the community)
Those aren't easy aspects to start a new period in life with.
When he became a priest (in February 1964) the progressed Sun was in the 17th degree of Virgo, semi square Pluto and sesquisquare Saturn, sextile Node; the same aspect pattern. And the same old combination (Saturn-Pluto-Node) is active again 45+ years later. The present square between Saturn and Pluto is connected to the individual charts of this church leader.
SATURN SQUARE PLUTO
Saturn is square Pluto and the aspect is getting tighter and tighter. Should it mean the end of a form of authority? Or just serious problems for conservative institutions? Or could it also be seen as: the comeback of mistakes of the past? Saturn is biquintile Pluto in the natal chart of the Pope. That is an indication for a creative way to deal with boomerang effects in times that mistakes come to the light.
For more about Saturn and Pluto in combination, see Astromarkt and click here… or use the label.

Amy Bishop's day of birth?
Amy Bishop is the Professor of the shooting at the University of Alabama. Many sources mention February 1965 as the month of birth. I found another date of birth, too: 04/24/19065. Was Amy Bishop born on April 24, 1965? The University of Alabama mentioned this dob earlier, before the info about her was removed (also see CBS, also mentioning 04/24/1965), using this date of birth, with source . Is this the birthday of Dr. Amy Bishop? In this post I comment the chart for April 24, 1965 at Noon (no matter what place of birth) as if it is hers.
April 24, 1965
It is the date of birth of someone with a passion (Venus trine Mars), who is not what she appears to be (Sun quindecile Neptune; something hidden in her life) with her career, ambition and status coming in the first place (Saturn rising before the Sun) and a tendency to act on impulse with a bad effect (a Mars-Uranus-Pluto combination, opposition Saturn). The 5 positions in earth signs are making her a materialist and a realist. Mercury is inconjunct Uranus, reflecting possible lack of mental balance related to tension and disproportional differences of opinion (arguying).
The tightest aspect (disregarding the possible aspects of the Moon) is Saturn opposition Pluto, the combination of the ‘ die hard’ who pays the price for ambition. Saturn and Pluto are in aspect with the Nodes, involving the community. There is more about Saturn Pluto in this post (scroll down).

DEATH OF HER BROTHER
She (perhaps accidently) killed her 18 year old brother Seth on December 8, 1986). These are the transits and progressions for that day, if she was born April 24, 1965.
- Transit Pluto sextile natal Mars
- Transit Saturn square progressed Mars
- In the progressed chart Pluto was exactly conjunct Node (and this aspect hasn’t moved since that day!)
It is a combination of violent (Pluto) death (Mars-Saturn) that is also in her natal chart! It goes together with transit Jupiter in hard aspect with Saturn, Pluto and the Nodes…For some reason she was never charged. That reason is mirrored by Jupiter (the planet of help, luck and profit). Perhaps the Sun quindecile Neptune is reflecting her living with a secret, and a growing obsession with that. Now that the progressed Sun is inconjunct Neptune, she lost balance and took up the gun. Here is the chart with transits for December 8, 1986.

UNIVERSITY KILLING
Now she killed more people and it was obviously murder. Perhaps she did it because there had been made a negative decision about her career. There are a few transits referring to instability, depression and illness. Three heavy indications together produced a dangerous instability.
1. Transit Saturn inconjunct her Sun is reflecting a period ending and lost of balance involved (a depression, just like in the cases of Queen’s Day and the killing at Fort Hood, see this link this link...
2. Progressed Sun is now inconjunct Neptune, reflecting disappointment and lost balance because of that (not being ‘ yourself’ ) after progressed Sun square Saturn last year (when she was denied tenure). It is the combination of a negative press and being seen in a very negative light.
3. In the progressed chart Pluto is still square the Node, just like on the day that she shot her brother.
Together the inconjunctions, Saturn and Neptune are the ingredients for illness and depression (being deeply disappointed) and there is an ongoing danger or challenge in communities, families and company. Add the progression of Mars in the 21st of Virgo, opposition Chiron and transit Mars square the Sun and you add anger, hurt and grieve.
I wonder if it was a random shooting, since the Saturns of two of the victims (born 14th September 1957 and 22th June 1957) are exactly square the Mars of Amy Bishop. The combination of Mars and Saturn is refers to fear and blocked energy or death.
People get depressed or angry without having to shoot others. There must be indications for using force in the natal chart and there are:
- MARS, URANUS, PLUTO
Uranus is in the middle of Mars and Pluto. That combination is for acting on impulse, using force, influence or violence. It is often involved in crashes, too. (Going too fast, getting hurt).
- MERCURY-URANUS
Mercury is inconjunct Uranus, reflecting possible lack of mental balance related to tension.
- SATURN, PLUTO AND NODE
The tightest aspect (disregarding the possible aspects of the Moon) is Saturn opposition Pluto, the combination of the ‘ die hard’ who pays the price for ambition. Both planets square the Nodes. In my (Dutch) book AstroTrio you can read about this combination of Saturn-Pluto-Node: Hard confrontations in a cruel society or community. Or see it as: the disadvantages of politics or investigations to a group of persons, This combination was also seen on the day that she shot her brother. Saturn and Pluto together can force you to disregard signals of exhaustion or pain and in transit or progression the combiation might force you to step back. There is often a price to pay for the status or career.
Many more people have this combination in their chart. It is a combination that was active in the weeks before and after her day of birth. Perhaps in her chart the combination is related to her Moon in Aquarius (which means that she was born around midday) or to her Midheaven. It would certainly make it hard to express emotions the ' normal' way. Moon-Saturn is about a wall around your private feelings and Pluto would intensify these feelings. So one day you might expect the wall to be destroyed because of the load and weight of the emotions.

CONCLUSION
Those observations perhaps explain what happened, if she was born on April 24, 1965. If she hadn't been a woman with a gun, things might have ended otherwise. In instable times the most nasty aspects of a character might take over. And that is how she turned into Mrs. Hyde. But this theory is only correct if she was born on April 24! (It's BTW also a day of birth of a woman whose drivers license expires because she didn't pay up for her children.)
WHAT IF she is not born on April 24 or what if YOU were born on April 24, 1965? If this is not her day of birth, we'll see about the right one. If it is your day of birth, please take care not to be too fanatic about status or obligations and try to control your impulses. Please realise that a chart has prominent positions, angles and a moon that we don't know when the hour of birth is missing, like in this case. You don't have the same past, genes and situation as Amy Bishop has. This post is about a possible explanation of what happened. If you are in a bad situation, find help!
An individual is the result of the influence of a situation , condition, genes, past and training on the reflection of the blueprint that the chart is. And astrology has a wide vocabulary of many possible ways to mirror what is pictured in the sky above. What you read here is one of those ways.
